As a poor black kid growing up in Brownsville, Jaden Smith learns to adapt and survive. At twenty-one years of age he’s lucky to be alive and sober. Now with a degree in hand Jaden intends to make it out of Brooklyn’s public housing by whatever means necessary.

The daughter of a powerful mob boss Becca Sorrentini has the world at her feet everything except the most basic of human rights: freedom. A slave to her father’s traditional ways Becca is desperate for a way out of the Sorrentini family life. A one-night stand with a handsome acquaintance may just lead Becca to redemption.
