I’ve learned a new genre!

I have just learned about a new genre! I’ve never heard of ‘space opera’! But apparently that is what I’ve written as far as ‘Mostly Human’ is concerned!

But it’s completed and final edits are done … for now. It has been submitted and I eagerly await the final appearance of my very first SPACE OPERA! lol, that’s so weird and cool at the same time and yet for some reason when I say it I think about Piiiiiiiiiiiiigs iiiiiiiiiiin Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace!

Anyway! I’m awaiting to see what things I need to do to complete this last step and finally publish the first of my SPACE OPERA series. (I just can’t get over that.) lol.

lol – good times 😛

Isabella Roche is a French orphan who came to America with hopes and dreams to tame the Wild-West. Little did Isabella know a storm was brewing that would change her life forever bringing undeniable true love in its wake.

Is this budding romance destine to grow or will it be washed away in an unforeseen storm that is brewing?

Inspirational music (at least to me.)

Howl – by Florence + Machine is a really great song to listen to over and over again while I’m writing about the emotions two have for each other. The passion they feel. How deep it goes. How it brings out sometimes the worst in people as well as the mushiness.

Skrillex – First of the year It was the perfect song for a character that’s all sweet and nice but has been pushed too far.

The scene I wrote in Wil’s winter (the sequel to Red Summer) began with Metallica’s – Devil’s Dance (Live With The SFSO) and ended with Seether’s – Dragon in me. Great music to gear up a dramatic-fight scene.

John Legend’s – This Time  This song, to me, emotes broken hearts and the depression of not being able to have what your heart truly wanted because you did something stupid. But if you had the chance, a second chance, you would do whatever it took to get it back.

Michael Buble’ – Rendition of Elvis’ I can’t help falling in love with you. This was the perfect song to have my character propose to.

I realize that I grump a lot about how ‘mushy’ all this romance stuff in books is. It’s embarrassing to admit that all of my stories have it! Mushiness! But with the right music, i get over it really quick.

Mostly Human cover

All Right! Got the edited version of ‘Mostly Human’ back now to go through it one last time to adjust or reject suggested changes and /or whatever!  Can’t wait! The third book for my Red Summer series is at about 20k words now and we’re not even half  way through the story! this means that this final book (I hope) will be much longer than the first two! Maybe TWICE as long! I hope it is. I’ll be more than impressed with myself.

The Fiverr Report on Melissa Foster – Fake Reviews, Fake Awards, Fake Everything

Wow shows how much of a newb I am. I was informed to never pay for a review. I send out copies of my books for reviews. Didn’t even know there was a way to actually ‘cheat’ at getting reviews.

Amazon Alert: Your Guide to Unethical Authors

From Which is worse, a desperate self-published author named Melissa Foster buying reviews “as fast as you can provide them” or a professionally published author named JA Konrath trying to buy 10000-packs of ratings? Because while I worked undercover, I saw it all.

My job was to facilitate. Connect those wanting reviews with those writing reviews. As a former marketing executive, I was a natural for the role, as I facilitated I recorded every dirty detail for Zon Alert.

One of the worst offenders was Melissa Foster who purchased over 250 reviews, as determined by reviews received from for-pay review writers. But that alone doesn’t make Melissa Foster one of the worst. What made her the worst is that her 250 review purchases were only the beginning as many of Fiverr’s paid reviewers also worked for other paid review companies.

By connecting the other Melissa Foster reviews these reviewers…

A REALLY cool spy movie! I loved it! It was definitely NOT James Bond’ But that’s what made it so much fun! It was serious when it needed to be and HIL-LARRY-OUS when you least expected it. The villains even had the understanding that, sure, they were bad, but they had a really good reason! This movie was twisted! I want to tell all my favorite parts, and believe me, there were plenty, but then It would ruin the movie for you. This is most definitely a must buy movie.
